Clone Apps

Cloning an app in Clappia allows you to create an identical copy of an existing app. This can be particularly useful when you need to test new features, modify an app for a different purpose, or maintain a backup. The cloned app will include all the configurations and design elements of the original.

Follow these steps to successfully clone your app in Clappia

Once you login to Clappia, click on the app you want to clone.

Go to Design App > Configurations > Clone App

On the right panel

New App Name: Give a name to the cloned app.
Select a workplace: If you are a part of multiple workplaces, select the right workplace for the cloned app to appear.
Clone Master App: If the app you want to clone is connected with other apps, by using the ‘Get Data from other apps’ block, you will need to enable this option if you want to clone the other app as well.
Clone Workflows: If the app to be cloned has workflows configured for it and you need it to be in the cloned app as well, enable this option.
Clone Analytics: If the app to be cloned has charts or automated reports configured for it and you need it to be in the cloned app as well, enable this option.
Clone Print Settings: If the app to be cloned has PDFs configured for it and you need it to be in the cloned app as well, enable this option.

Click on Clone. By clicking on Clone, you get a copy of the app. You can now view the cloned app and the cloned master app (if any) from the dashboard. You can then edit the app, and assign it to other users.
