Reset Your Clappia Password

It is pretty common for users to forget their login credentials, especially passwords.

In such cases, users can reset their password in Clappia and regain access to their dashboard in the following ways:

  1. Reset password via email - using an OTP sent to your registered email
  2. Reset password via phone number - using an OTP sent to your registered mobile number
  3. Reset password via your Profile page - at any time while logged in
  4. Reset password by a Workplace Manager - if you are unable to reset it yourself

Let us see how to reset your password in detail.

1. Reset password via email

Step 1

Enter your email ID in the Sign In page of your respective dashboard. Leave the password field empty. Click on the Forgot Password option mentioned below the password field.

Another page with a Recover Password option appears. Enter your registered email ID and click on the Send OTP button.

An OTP will be sent to your registered email ID. An additional field to enter the OTP will now be visible on the same page.

Check your inbox for an email. Open the email and note the OTP.

Step 5

Enter the OTP in the provided field and click on Verify OTP. If the OTP is correct, you will be redirected to a new page where you can set your new password.

Enter the new password, confirm it, and click on Reset Password.

You can now sign in with the new password.

You will also receive a confirmation email notifying you that your password has been successfully changed.

2. Reset password via phone number

Step 1

In the Sign In page of your dashboard, click on Forgot password option below the password field.

Another page appears with an email field and a Recover with phone? option below it. Click on Recover with phone instead?

Another page with a Recover password option appears which contains a country code option denoted with a Flag dropdown and a field beside it to enter your phone number associated with your Clappia account.

Click on the Flag dropdown to select your country's code.

Enter the phone number associated with your Clappia account and click on Send OTP.

Step 4

An OTP will be sent to your mobile number registered with your Clappia account.

Enter the OTP and click on Verify OTP.

Note: If you do not receive the OTP, you can click on Send OTP after the prescribed time limit.

Step 5

Enter your new password and re-enter to confirm. Click on the Reset Password button below.

Your password has been successfully reset and you can now log in to your Clappia dashboard with your new credentials.

3. Change password from your Profile

Users can also change their password at any time directly from their profile, without needing to go through the forgot password flow.

From your Clappia dashboard, click on Profile in the left-hand panel.

Click on Edit Password on the Profile page.

Step 3

On the right panel, enter your new password and confirm it. Click Save or the relevant confirm button to apply the change.

Once the password is changed, you will be logged out of all connected devices. You will need to sign in again using your new password. You will also receive a confirmation email notifying you that your password has been successfully changed.

4. Unable to Set/Change Password (Password Reset by Workplace Manager)

If a user is unable to reset their password due to not receiving the OTP or due to other technical issues, they can request the workplace manager to reset their password.

Here's how workplace managers can reset a user's password:

  1. Navigate to Workplace Settings > Users.
  2. Select the user from the list.
  3. In the right panel, under the Password section, click on Reset Password.

Once the manager resets the password, the user will receive a confirmation email notifying them that their password has been changed. The user can then sign in with the new credentials.

If the user is part of multiple workplaces, the workplace manager cannot reset their password, as changing it will affect their login across all workplaces.

If the issue persists and no option works to reset the password, users or managers can reach out to Clappia Support or raise a support request for assistance.

Additional Sign-In Options

In case users have forgotten their passwords or are unable to log in using their email:

  • If enabled in the workplace, users can log in using their phone number, provided their phone number is added to the workplace
  • If login is restricted to email, users can use the Sign in with OTP option

When using Sign in with OTP:

  • An OTP will be sent to the user’s registered email
  • Enter the OTP directly on the Sign In page
  • Upon successful verification, the user will be logged in

Important Notes

1. To reset the password via phone number, you have to enter a valid 10-digit phone number.

2. You will not be able to reset your password via phone number if your phone number is not registered with your Clappia account.

3. You cannot reset your password if you enter an incorrect OTP.
