You can make a Workplace and all its apps public so that it is accessible to guest users without having them sign up on Clappia. 

What Does It Mean to Make a Workplace Public?

By default, users need to sign in to your Clappia Workplace to access it. You can give users access to your Workplace, but this does not automatically make every app within it visible to them. Users can access only the apps they have been given permission to use.

However, there may be situations where you want people outside your organisation to access certain apps without having to sign in to Clappia. For example, you might have created feedback forms for your community, registration forms for an event, or other forms that need to be accessed by a large number of people who are not members of your Workplace.

Clappia allows you to make individual apps public so that people can access them without signing in. You can share the public app's link or QR code with the intended users.

If you have multiple public apps that need to be accessible to people outside your Workplace, you can also make your entire Workplace public. This allows people to open your Workplace dashboard using its URL without having to sign in to Clappia.

What Happens When You Make Your Workplace Public?

When you make your Workplace public, anyone with your Workplace URL can open the dashboard without signing in to Clappia. However, this does not mean that every app within your Workplace becomes publicly accessible.

Only the apps that have been made public will be available to people accessing your Workplace without signing in. Apps that have not been made public remain private and are not visible to visitors outside your Workplace.

This means you can have both public and private apps within the same Workplace. For example, you could make an event registration app and a community feedback app public while keeping your internal employee request app private. People visiting your public Workplace would be able to access the public apps, but they would not see the private app.

Making your Workplace public therefore allows you to provide access to multiple public apps through a single Workplace URL without making all your apps public.

Should You Make Your Workplace Public or Only Individual Apps?

The choice depends on how you want people to access your apps.

• Make individual apps public: If you have only one or a few apps that need to be accessed by people outside your Workplace, you can make those apps public and share their individual links or QR codes. Your Workplace itself can remain private, and visitors can access the public apps without signing in to Clappia.
• Make your entire Workplace public: If you have multiple public apps and want people to access them through a common dashboard, you can make your Workplace public. You can then share your Workplace URL, allowing visitors to open the dashboard and access the apps that have been made public.

In either case, making an app or Workplace public removes the requirement for visitors to sign in to Clappia to access the public content. You can continue to keep internal apps private while providing access to the apps intended for external users.

Steps to Make Your Workplace Public

To allow people to access your Workplace dashboard without signing in to Clappia, follow these steps:

• Visit your company's workplace on Clappia, https://<YOUR_WORKPLACE_NAME>.clappia.com.
• Click on the Workplace Details tab on the left navigation menu.

In the workplace details, go to the Preferences tab and select other settings. A right panel opens up.

By default, the option 'Login required to view the workplace apps' will be enabled. Disable this option.
